Happiness
Happiness and the Universe
Survival and Life
The two basic functions of all living creatures are Survival and Reproduction. From single celled life, all the way up to quadrillions of cells (humans, etc.), each life form's agenda is to stay alive and reproduce. If one element of their plan fails, then it becomes extinct. Surviving means more than finding food, water, and a light source. It also means more than finding a safe location away from things that can harm you. Each living thing that is alive right now has accomplished those tasks. Survival means more than just re production. Survival means the will to live.
A Stronger Will
Single-celled creatures have rules (operations) that can organize their reproduction. Still, larger creatures are responsible for their food and reproduction. In larger creatures, the function of survival, to actually try from day to day, hour to hour, requires will. This use of will is a part of something in all life. It is a part of your brain function and your body functions. The stronger the will, the better chance of survival.
The Coordination of Will (survival)
The existence of all creatures requires other life forms to live. As you have heard many times, all life is codependent on each other. If a particular animal or plant dies off, then other creatures die off or change their method of survival. Each one of these creations uses its will to strengthen life, for the evolution of its kind.
The Will and the Right Decisions
Will requires making decisions. Will is not on autopilot; it must be part of the decision process to survive or reproduce. A will is built on experience and success. The right decisions from your will, moves you towards all goals, even the ones you fail. If you fail, your will makes you get up, learn, and try again. This is a function of survival for all larger creatures.
The Will of the Universe
This will to live came from our evolution. Our evolution was guided along with the creation of the universe and programmed in, if you rather. Whether you look at our creation in a scientific way or a religious way, we all are aware that the will of the universe is our development.
The Will of Happiness
After you have accomplished something positive, you are happy, even if just for a short while. So, part of this will is the happiness of success. This will for joy is also a part of our evolution; again programmed in, so it must be possible to will ourselves into happiness.
The Emotion of Happiness
Emotion is also part of our evolutionary process. Feelings became a large part of our survival and reproduction. We were given (or evolved) emotions for our survival and happiness. The pain and hurt we feel (emotionally) are a safety net or an indication that something must change for our happiness. Crying and laughter both are a function of releasing energy and stress. Part of this evolution of emotion, built into us, is to give us balance in thought and action. We need to have feelings to help us act and respond in thousands of different ways. Each time
we encounter anything physical, mental, or spiritual, our brain layers and blends our mixed emotions into a new different feeling for every action or event. It stores these feelings away to help you remember things by feeling them, not just seeing them. The emotions are also used in planning and development.
To survive differing circumstances, our emotions can be layered in a different order. We can find a way to re-layer our feelings, with our priorities on top. Then, we can change the way we respond to the same situation again. Emotions can be changed by the will, not so much how it “feels”, but how we respond.
The Balance of Happiness
The universe (or God) does everything it can for us to survive and reproduce. It rains and shines on all of us all of the time. We have our light and heat source, our air, water, and such. We have been built with a will that can lead us to success. Part of this function and the evolutionary process is the generation (creation) of happiness. It appears that the universe is also trying to make us happy.
We have all learned that energy changes into mass and mass changes into energy. This constant process is how our world was created and how it changes or evolves from day to day.
There is a balance, created by the universe, between this mass and energy. For example: The sun sends us heat and light that turns energy into mass. We then take this mass and turn it into energy. This is how we process and live off of our food. We ingest the food, where we pull the nutrients out of the food and then return the rest as waste product.
Similarly, our emotions and actions are realized. A balance can be drawn between emotion and action. For example: You go to a theme park and buy a seat on a new ride. The first time around the track, you are scared, but after a few trips around, your emotions have “balanced” to your action, and you are not as scared. The next time you return to the theme park, the ride will not be as “emotional”.
The universe has built into our evolution the ability to adapt to circumstances. Not just physically, but emotionally. This balance allows us to learn how to change our responses to events we experience and learn from them.
The change is created by re-layering
(changing the preference or priority) our emotions in a different way. This is where our intelligence guides our feelings. Through this layering of emotion, we change one type of response for another. We have functions to release sad emotions, such as crying, and enhance better feelings such, as laughing. Throughout our lives, we will continuously change one emotion with another. How we learn and what we learn from events in our lives, change our emotional response to them.
Positive and Negative Energy
We may have a misinterpretation of the word negative energy. Negative energy has sometimes been associated with bad energy, or bad moments, or evil thoughts. Negative energy is just like the (-) side of a battery. It can go from its current charge to a positive charge, but remember that positive energy gets changed to negative energy in the process. This process is similar to our everyday life. Somedays we are happy, somedays we are not. They are continually changing from, one to the other. The universe uses this ex change of energy to create and to balance itself. Some where between the plus (+) and minus (-) of a battery is all the power. When we say that we have negative energy in us or around us, it means that we are low on energy and happiness. We need a change in our charge and transform a more positive flow. The universe tries to keep us in balance physically and emotionally. Sometimes, through change in our lives, we can dust-off, if you will, the low energy and feel more motivated and happy. These changes can happen in a thousand different ways. We can turn negative energy into positive energy, by using our will connected with our emotions.
Happiness in Living
The universe provided everything necessary for us to be happy. If you can sit in the beauty of the Earth, you have everything you need. It provides food, water, and a brain that is capable of reason and creativity. All that is necessary to do is to participate. Depression, however, can be lazy. Depression can sit there idle without connection to life. The energy is wasted on bad thoughts, ill tempers, and inactivity. Ask yourself, how exhausted you get when you are depressed?
How do we Return Energy to the Universe?
We return this energy as productivity and caring. These are the only tools we have to give back our fair share. The vegetable kingdom gives us an energy food source. This is how its evolution has brought it to us to eat. We use our energy to move and think just like other creatures, but if we can act positively, we use this energy in ways it can be returned. The ocean’s evolution brought it to a place where it can promote life and reproduction. The tree’s development has brought it to a place where it can support life and reproduction. Fruit and flowers, etc. follow similar development.
These creations on the Earth give back their energy to others, each in different ways. All brought about as a part of their evolution.
What is our evolutionary return to the universe?
We have evolved to be productive, creative, intelligent, and with the ability to care and aid each other. The function of everything in the universe is to promote life. Every time we further or sup port this function, we give the energy back in the only way a human can. We don’t have claws for eating, fins for swimming, or wings for flying, but what we do have are hands for building and caring.
Why the Universe wants us to be Happy.
The whole universe functions using the transformation of energy to mass to energy. The energy exchange is so high between some elements, it is enough to create a star. We exchange this energy every day, as does the universe. As we rely on this energy and life, so does the universe. It needs a return of energy from all creations. Man’s connection with the world is very complex. Still, it involves his will, his emotions, creativity, intelligence, understanding, responsibility, and productivity. Without the happiness of our race, the universe suffers. We can change our satisfaction with our will and emotions. This is how a human functions on many levels. The universe (God) has built into us ways of being happy. It would not have developed that into our evolution, if it wasn’t necessary for us.
