In the Flow
The Simplest Path
The universe follows the simplest path with all things. It might be hard to imagine water pouring down a stream, bouncing here and there, is taking the most straightforward route. But, if we look at each drop of water, it is falling using the simplest path it can at each change in its direction. Planets, stars, and movements in any dimension that we look at follow “the path of least resistance”. In trying to connect our life into the flow of the universe, we can also try to find a path that holds the least resistance. Everyone will have experiences that are up and down. Moments of weakness and moments of power fluctuate from day to day. Since energy and matter always follow this simple path, we can use this as a direction for our lives.
The simplest answers are always the easiest to comprehend. The most straightforward words leave the least amount of doubt. You may have to swim upstream against the water, from time to time, and it may be unavoidable. Still, with the right map, you may find alternatives that provide more natural directions to your goals. You may have to climb, to the top of a hill, to see the simplest path in front of you.
Our minds, egos and souls can move in natural directions. A rhythm or pattern that is consistent with the action of the universe. The universe provides for others at all times. It works for the benefit of the whole. Its rhythm is the continuation of the Earth and life. Its patterns offer the same view. There is a logical progression for all things to work at once and work together. If they work in this similar way, all things benefit. From any place in our lives, we can change the direction of our minds and egos. Each path can lead to another, that changes our lives.
Interference in this “simplest path” alters time and matter. The human mind and actions are examples of how time and matter can be altered. Positive and negative thoughts play a big part in this unfolding of these events. Everything in the universe, from the smallest particle to the most massive star, can alter space, time, and matter. However, this process of building time and space requires alteration and change together to operate correctly.
Without the constant input and change from everything in this course of time, the universe would not feel its growth or the beauty of its inhabitants. We could say it was similar to a mother feeling the kick of the baby inside her. The universe needs us, as much as we need it. Creation requires input and change. This input and change works in many dimensions; one of them we can call the spirit or even the spirit of change.
The Warrior of time and space understands the concepts of power and peace. He uses the path of least resistance together with his will, so that he can find his true nature.
Making a change of mind and body brings the gift of direction. The person and the direction become one. The paths of people and the heavens swirl within Tao. Paths are created by all objects in motion or those that appear to be still.
Since all galaxies, stars and planets are in motion, the objects at rest on the planets are still moving through the universe. Some paths are visible, or become apparent, like a man walking along a trail.
Some paths are found by smell, like a dog or an insect, finding the path of others, or itself. Some paths become apparent only when they interact with others.
Paths and patterns become logical when we can calculate and predict them. The currently illogical pathways created by interactions of sub-atomic particles are still being deciphered.
A path that repeats creates a pattern. If one man walks along a trail more than once, he creates a pattern. If two men walk along the same trail, even at different times, it creates a pattern.
A planet that rotates around a star creates a path and a pattern at the same time. Each time a planet moves, it moves through a new location in space, creating a new path. It is part of a pattern, but it is making an original path at the same time. The pattern may appear complete and consistent as it rotates a star, but the star is also moving, putting them each in a new position in space every second.
Sometimes we can only see the pattern, and sometimes we can only see the path. If an object is far enough away from a star, it might appear that the object is not part of a pattern. It might take so long to see the planet make one revolution of the star that it would be impossible to calculate the rotation.
A path (or pattern) can be created by things that don't appear to be solid. Sound and its vibration generate a pattern that can't be seen, only heard. Man can't hear a dog whistle. A radio wave can't be seen, but creates a path and a pattern on its journey. Electricity can follow a cord but creates a pattern around the cable on its path. Light cannot be seen at frequencies higher or lower than our eyes or instruments can detect.
A person creates paths and patterns that interact with others. Thinking, sitting, standing, walking, talking, and dreaming all create different paths and patterns. Without trying, your patterns will interact with others.
When you read a book, the story becomes a part of you. Because of reading the book, you may make other choices in life based on its influence. Even after reading a novel, you will use it as a reference of experience, whether real or imaginary. Before books or papers, you were influenced by the senses and dreams. Reading gives you instant experience, and your mind retains this as if it were real. Sometimes it’s hard for your brain to determine proper judgment by confusing issues and input. Your character, personality, habits, persuasions, and demeanor are affected by the input you receive, digest, accept and believe. Many people want to experience being someone else or in a place outside of ordinary existence. The media you ingest and books you read will lead to you having a swaying point of view without real stability. The media you ingest also moves into your dreams at night, adding confusion to a message your dreams and subconscious are trying to tell you. Over dramatized news of things that you can’t help from your distance away, fills your day with judgmental and competitive thoughts. At the same time, most consumer advertising reminds you of people you wish you could be or the things you want to possess. The Tao reminds you of things you already have, both physically and spiritually. It subtly reminds you of the natural flow of the universe. This points out our connection with the universe, people, and the circumstances of life. It helps reduce judgments and competition, thus bringing together what you have to offer in the real world. It tries to stimulate the mind with peaceful imagery and creative solutions. Tao has no predefined political or religious motives. Therefore it enhances your views and strengthens your own beliefs. The Tao is a series of short stories, verses, or poems that help simplify the understanding of a universal flow of harmonious example.
